Personal Data
Please be aware that we will collect and use the personal data you provide to us because it is necessary to conclude and execute any agreement with you. This applies to both our (potential) customers and parties from whom we purchase goods and/or services.
If you are a (potential) customer of ours, we will use your data to send you a quotation, determine the specifications or requirements for a particular matter or service, deliver goods or perform work for you, invoice you, and communicate efficiently with you regarding the execution aspects of the agreement.
If you are a (potential) supplier or other contractor, your personal data is also necessary for the conclusion and execution of the agreement. In procurement, this is necessary to inform you of the specifications or requirements for a particular matter or service, send a quotation request, place an order with you, pay your invoices, and communicate efficiently with you regarding other aspects of the agreement.
JD Engineers B.V. also does this when you request information, inquire about our products, download brochures, ask questions via social media, (Whats)app, chat, call, email, or otherwise contact us. Additionally, we collect data for accepting and issuing an offer to an existing or potential customer.
In addition to the personal data you provide to us, JD Engineers B.V. may sometimes collect, record, and process additional personal data about the use of our website(s). This includes data about the equipment you use, the version of the operating system, and settings of the device you use for your visit. Data about website usage, such as the time of your visit and the topics you view, may also be collected. This data is recorded and used for analyses of website visit and click behavior.
In some cases, personal data may be validated or combined with information from external sources by JD Engineers B.V. This is how we keep our database up-to-date.
You are not obliged to provide us with your personal data. However, if you do not provide us with or provide insufficient personal data, it may not be possible for us to carry out the aforementioned activities.
Disclosure to Third Parties
In connection with the execution of a potential agreement with you, it is possible that we need to provide your personal data to parties that supply parts, materials, and products to us or perform work on our behalf. Furthermore, we use external server space for the storage of (parts of) our sales and purchasing administration, of which your personal data is a part. For this reason, your personal data is provided to our server space provider. Additionally, we use Microsoft Office and its associated storage options for emails and other files. Because we use a newsletter mailing service, your personal data is also passed on to the provider of this service.
Direct Marketing
If you have given us permission, we will keep and use the personal data you provided to inform you personally via email about our existing and new products and services in the future and possibly make you an offer. Each time we send you an advertising email, you have the option to let us know that you do not wish to receive further mailings. See the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each mailing.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to track how users use this website. For example, which sections are visited most frequently. This data helps us improve the website and enhance user experience. We have entered into a data processing agreement with Google. This agreement contains strict agreements about what they are allowed to track. We have not allowed Google to use the obtained Analytics information for other Google services. (Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or if third parties process the information on behalf of Google. We have no influence on this.)
Cookies
To improve the functionality and speed of this website and to tailor it to your preferences, certain data regarding your use of this website is collected. This information may be collected through the use of so-called ‘cookies’. These are small text files that are automatically placed on your computer by the visited web page. You can disable the use of ‘cookies’ through your browser settings. However, this may result in the website functioning less effectively. Third parties may also place cookies and track internet behavior, as is the case with embedded videos from Vimeo.
We also place Google Analytics cookies. However, only for analytical purposes. Your IP address is masked in this process. We do not share any data with Google and also do not use other Google services in combination with these Google Analytics cookies. This is also documented in a data processing agreement we have concluded with Google.
If you do not want cookies to be stored on your computer, you can disable their use through the settings of your internet browser.
Data Protection for Pixel Labels
We may use so-called pixel labels. These are small graphic files that allow us to monitor the use of our websites. A pixel label can collect information such as the IP address of the computer that downloaded the page with the label, the URL of the page containing the pixel label, how long the page with the pixel label was displayed, the type of browser that retrieved the pixel label, and the identification number of cookies previously placed on the computer by that server. In email correspondence that has HTML capabilities, so-called “format detection technology” can be used. This technology can use pixel labels to determine whether you have received and opened your email.
Leadinfo
To measure the business use of our website, we use the Leadinfo service from Rotterdam. This service shows us company names and addresses based on the IP addresses of our visitors. The IP address is not included in this.
Security
Your data is securely stored and transmitted. The server software (SSL) encrypts all data we receive from you. Those who have nothing to do with your data simply cannot access it. JD Engineers B.V. aims to store and transmit your data with the most recent security techniques and encryption methods.
reCAPTCHA
The contact forms are secured with reCAPTCHA. This is a user-friendly system developed by Google to determine whether the website visitor is a human and not a bot, and to prevent spam. Click here for Google’s privacy policy and here for the terms of service.
